From Palette to Needle: Chronicles of Embroidery and Painting

From Palette to Needle: Chronicles of Embroidery and Painting

During the lockdown, when the world seemed to pause and introspection became our daily companion, I discovered an unexpected refuge: the world of art. It was as if the canvas and threads whispered secrets, inviting me to explore their depths.

Embroidery and painting became my twin muses. Each piece I created held a story, a fragment of my emotions woven into every stitch and brushstroke. The quiet hours spent with needle in hand or brush poised over canvas were a sanctuary—a way to connect with myself and the world beyond.

The Journey Begins

This was my first painting. The majestic mountains stand as silent witnesses, their snow-capped peaks both challenging and awe-inspiring. The vibrant sky, a canvas of clouds, mirrors the tumultuous yet exciting path of artistic discovery. Imperfections tell stories, revealing growth and courage. As a beginner, I breathed life into this canvas, and it sings of hope, resilience, and the magic of art.

The Starry Night

This was my first Embroidery Art and Among all my creations, this Starry Night embroidery is my favorite and so close to my heart. Inspired by Van Gogh’s iconic masterpiece, it became my personal ode to the swirling skies and silent nights that witnessed my metamorphosis. Each thread was a whisper, a longing for connection, and a tribute to the artist who painted the original stars.

The Dance of Colors

This circular embroidery piece depicted two figures under the Northern lights, their silhouettes etched against the dark sky. It was a dance of colours—the greens and blues blending seamlessly, just as life and art merged during those solitary days.

Tumultuous Waves

Another circular artwork portrayed tumultuous ocean waves. The clouds hung heavy, and a lone seagull soared above the tempest. It was resilience—the ability to ride the waves, find balance, and keep moving forward.

The Wooden Pathway

And then there was the serene scene painted on canvas—a wooden pathway leading toward calm waters. Flowers bloomed along its edges, their colors mirroring the hues of my emotions. It was a path of self-discovery, lined with petals and possibilities.

In this silent symphony of threads and colors, I discovered unuttered emotions and unexplored horizons. Each piece held a fragment of my soul, a testament to resilience, hope, and the beauty of creation.
From Palette to Needle: Chronicles of Embroidery and Painting —a title that encapsulates the journey from solitude to expression, from uncertainty to artistry. As the world gradually reopens, I carry these artworks with me, knowing that they are not just threads and pigments but vessels of stories waiting to be shared.
May you find your own canvas, your own palette, and your own needle—a way to chronicle your inner world and weave it into something beautiful.
